Feature Friday - "Morning Glory"

 Hi friends!  It's Kim here from Stamping Imperfection.  I have a quick card to share with you today for the Feature Friday post.  

 

I'm using today's Friday Floral which is a Morning Glory!  This is the newest digi added to the Three Room Studio shop so you will definitely want to check it out!

One of my favorite things about using digital stamps is that I can resize the image, layer the images, and flip them over if I want to.  

As soon as I saw this image, I knew I just wanted the entire card front covered with this spectacular flower!

I kept my color palette simple for this flower.  I added a little touch of Speckled Egg distress oxide ink around the flower, trying to leave lots of white spots because I'm loving that effect lately.

To finish off this card, I added some Wink of Stella to the main flower.  I just don't think you can have enough sparkle on a card!  I also added a few rhinestones with a light pink hue.  Again...the sparkle is essential!

The sentiment comes from the Simple Sentiment stamp set.  I love to send cards just because. I think it's nice when you send a card for no special reason and the recipient isn't expecting it.

Greens: G 19, 16, 14, 12  YG 67, 63, 61

 

I love coloring and painting florals.  Is there anything more relaxing than spending part of your day just coloring or painting?  I don't think so!
