Feature Friday - New Year Butler Digi (FREE!!)

Hello and Happy New Year!  Sandy here, and today I'm featuring a new FREE digi, New Year Butler 2022.

I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone by embracing "fun fold" cards, and I have to admit, this one was fun.

This kind of card is super easy, and folds flat for mailing.  For the card base, I used Gina K black cardstock. I started with a regular A2 folded card base (5-1/2" x 4-1/4"), with the front scored and folded back on itself at 2-1/8".  I then trimmed the bottom off at 1-1/4", so that I ended up with a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" square card base.  I flipped the trimmed piece over, and once I finished all the decorating, I assembled it by gluing the longer end to the front of the card, and the short end to the back of the card. 

The image is coloured using Copic Markers, and a white Gelly Roll pen on 80 lb Neenah Solar White cardstock.  I like to use this weight Neenah for digital images because it's Copic-friendly, and the 80 lb weight goes through my printer well.  

I created the fireworks with a combination of gold and white embossing powder, using a Versamark brush pen to lay draw out the firework streams, a white Gelly Roll pen, and a metallic Gelly Roll pen to add more details and dots.  

The “Woo Hoo” sentiment is from the “Yay!” stamp set.
