Saturday Challenge #38 - Birthday

Saturday Challenge #38 - Birthday

Welcome to the Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge!

Candice here and I'm your challenge host this week! This week's challenge is Birthday!

I started with a piece of 4.25"x5.5" cardstock which will be the front panel of my card. From this, I diecut a hexagon out of the center and adhered a piece of acetate (I like to reuse old packaging!) to the back. Then I added fun foam behind the acetate in order to create room for my shaker bits to move around.

On the front of my card base (also 4.25"x5.5"), I blended some blue ink to create a bit of a halo effect toward the center. Then I stamped the "Yay!" and "It's your birthday!" sentiments, (both are from the Yay! stamp set) in center. I piled my sequins, beads, and shaker bits toward the center and adhered my front panel over top.

Next, I stamped the flower from the Mom's Hibiscus stamp set twice onto Bristol paper. I colored these with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens, and then cut them out with the coordinating die. I adhered the diecuts onto opposing sides of the hexagon and voila, that's the final card!
